How much does it cost to participate?
There is absolutely NO COST to eligible participants! This program is funded with support from the National Academies.
Who is eligible to enroll in the program?
The program is open to all Florida residents who are interested in exploring clean energy career opportunities. However, to be eligible to receive stipends, participants must be between the ages of 16 and 25.
What are the milestones and incentive payments?
Participants can earn up to $1,000 by completing key program milestones:
- Milestone 1: Complete registration, the career assessment, and industry fundamentals training – $250
- Milestone 2: Complete an additional 10 hours of learning content – $250
- Participants may choose to dive deep into a specific clean energy sector (e.g. solar) or explore content across multiple areas, but must complete at least 10 total hours of learning.
- Milestone 3: Attend an in-person Capstone Career Day – $250
- Milestone 4: Secure employment, an internship, or enroll in continuing education related to clean energy – $250
How do I verify that I’m eligible for a stipend?
To qualify, you must be a Florida resident between the ages of 16 and 25. To verify eligibility, complete this short form, which includes proof of residency and payment details.
How long is the online curriculum portion of the program?
The online portion of the program includes self-paced learning modules, career interest assessments, and mentor-guided discussions, designed to be completed in approximately 20 to 25 hours.
In addition, the in-person capstone experience—a hands-on, immersive session—takes place over a single day, typically running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This capstone event allows participants to apply their knowledge, engage with industry experts, and prepare for next steps in their clean energy career.

What career opportunities does this program prepare me for?
The program connects you to a variety of clean energy careers, including hands-on technical roles and office-based positions. You’ll receive personalized career recommendations based on your interests and preferences.
Do I need prior experience in clean energy to participate?
No prior experience is required! This program is designed for learners of all backgrounds, whether you’re just starting out, changing careers, or exploring new opportunities in the clean energy sector.
How is the program delivered?
The program includes online learning modules, mentorship, and an in-person Capstone Career Day to help you build the foundational skills and connections needed for success.
Will I receive a certificate upon completion?
Yes! Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion, which can be a valuable addition to your resume.
How do I receive my stipend payments?
Stipend payments are issued upon completing each milestone and will be distributed through a digital payment method, such as Zelle. Additional payment details will be provided after enrollment.
What happens after I complete the program?
Graduates will be connected with regional employers and further education options based on their career goals. You’ll also gain access to an exclusive employer network to help you take the next step.
